Golden Sands
Golden Sands situated in a 1800 ha broad-leaved tree park at 19 km north-east of Varna and 490 km east of Sofia.
It is a Blue flag sea resort famous for the purest sand beaches, the clean warm sea water and the mineral springs
nearby. The air temperature from May to September is 18 - 28°C, and the water temperature is around 18-24°C.
There are more than 100 hotels of different categories and prices in the resort having total capacity of more
than 36 000 beds. Most of them offer all inclusive accommodation.
Thousands of bars, restaurants, fast-food bars, grill- and toast-bars are scattered along the alleys of Golden Sands.
They offer Bulgarian and international cuisine. The resort is famous for its night life, multiple bars and clubs.

St. Konstantin and Elena is the oldest sea resort of Bulgaria.

Albena
Albena is one of the most beautiful sea resorts on the Bulgarian seaside.
The resort is the place where the sea meets the sand.
With the sand lines (6-km long beach), the green parks and the crystal sea, Albena offers a pleasure to every

Albena is situated 30 km away from city of Varna. It has about 17 000 beds in more than 40 hotels

Sunny Beach
Sunny Beach is the largest sea resort in Bulgaria. The resort has more than 130 hotels with capacity for more

the doorstep. This purpose-built, modern holiday town has rolled out brand-new restaurants, bars and energetic

The sand is clay colored, and very fine. Shrub-topped dunes separate the beach from the promenade, with a

Nesebar
Just a 15 minute drive away from Sunny Beach is Nesebar.
The town was founded in II milenium B.C. by Thracians. Later the Greeks create here a settlement called Mesemvria.
The Old town of Nesebar is included in the list of UNESCO for world cultural heritage because of multiple very
well preserved monuments from different historical periods. Here you can see necropol from III century B. C.,
parts of the fortress walls and the gate of Mesemvria from III-IV century, churches from VI and XI-XIV century.
In the Old Town there are 60 preserved homes from Bulgarian Renaissance (XVIII-XIX century) and 40 churches
from different periods.

Sozopol
Sozopol is located on a scenic bay along the southern Bulgarian coast, about 35 km south of Burgas – the second
largest city on Bulgarian Black Sea coast.
Sozopol is one of the oldest Bulgarian coastal towns with rich history. It was founded in IV-III millennium B. C.
by Thracians who practiced fishing and sea trade. Later (VI century B. C.) Greek colonists founded here
the city Apolonia Pontica (in the name of the Greek god Apolo). The city became important port and trade center.
Destroyed in I century B. C. by Romans it was rebuilt five centuries later as Sozopolis – the town of the save.
The city is divided into the Old Town and the modern part of the town.
The Old Town mainly offers romantic old houses for accommodation, whereas the modern part of the town is full of
hotels of different categories and prices.
The resort is famous for its night life, campsites and beaches that offer diverse sports activities
such as jet skiing, surfing, beach volleyball, etc.

Pomorie
The resort occupies a rocky peninsula, jutting out 3,5 km into Black Sea. The town was founded in 5th
century BC near a salt lake, the ancient Thracians called it “sacred” because of its healing properties.
In the year 48 BC the place called Anhialo is a basic centre in the eastern sea part of the Thrace district,
second of importance after the town of Adrianopol (Odrin).
In 812 Bulgarian Khan Krum conquered the town from Byzantines.
On 20 August 917 King Simeon The Great defeated the Byzantine army in the field between Anhialo and the
Aheloy River (the Aheloy battle).
The salt Lake Pomorie determines the development of the ancient craft of the population of the town –
production of salt. It is considered that the salt-pans are older than the town.
Pomorie is the only place producing salt in Bulgaria till 1930.
The salt lake is declared as a protected area and humid zone of international importance, as well as dwelling
place of 63 bird species, threatened with extinction. It is a spot for the birds’migration route Via Pontica.
The sea gives an opportunity for the development of another ancient craft –fishing.
The production of wine, rakia and brandy has reached considerable progress nowdays.

Primorsko
Primorsko is a town and seaside resort in southeastern Bulgaria. It is situated on a small peninsula 52 km
south of Bourgas. The rivers Ropotamo and Dyavolska run close to the town, and the Snake Island reserve is
also nearby. Primorsko is a climate resort and a center of the youth tourism. The site is covered with broad-leaved
trees and bushes and is actually a park with a lot of alleys among an old beech forest.
Accommodation in Primorsko is available in hotels of different categories.
Ropotamo - one of the
largest natural reserves of Bulgaria is located close to Primorsko.
The beaches offer volleyball playground, gym, water ski, pedal boats, surfing, boat trips,
scooters and children’s facilities.
